The fifth event of the knowledge-based industry, centered around the electric vehicle ecosystem, was held at the Tehran International Exhibition Center. This event aimed to gather and facilitate discussions among policymakers and influential figures in the electric vehicle sector. Alongside, a sideline exhibition featured collaborative partners of electric vehicle projects and knowledge-based companies in the advanced transportation sector showcasing innovative automotive technologies. Keynote speeches, both domestic and international, as well as specialized panels, provided opportunities to explore the latest advancements and technologies related to electric vehicles. Important agreements were also signed during the event in the presence of Mr. Aliabadi, the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.
In the realm of the electric vehicle ecosystem, companies such as the Iranian Quality and Standards Inspection (ISQI), Raz Strategic Investment and Development, Golrang Electronic Industries, and Azin Khodro signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the establishment of a safety and performance testing center for electric vehicles and components.
Majid Jalili, Director of Technology and Innovation Research Group at the Institute of Commercial Studies and Research, addressed the national outlook for electric vehicle deployment in 1410, highlighting projections of one million electric cars, 5,000 electric buses, and 800,000 electric motorcycles by the year 1410. He also emphasized the development of electric vehicle charging stations over the next decade, predicting one million and seventy thousand charging stations for private passenger vehicles and 104 fast-charging stations for buses in the country.
With the participation of governmental and central organizations such as the Ministries of Energy, Petroleum, Interior, Communications and Information Technology, Science, Research and Technology, Roads and Urban Development, and the National Standard Organization of Iran, it is expected that these events and sessions will lead to the formation of appropriate policies and standards for the development of electric vehicles and related infrastructure. The extensive involvement indicates serious intentions for the development and support of the electric vehicle industry, which can contribute to its growth and advancement.
